On November 3rd, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn chaired the 5th Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Policy Committee meeting. The committee approved the "Digital Infrastructure Development Plan 2024-2027", aiming to develop digital infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of digital technology utilization. Key projects include upgrading telecommunications infrastructure, updating laws and regulations related to digital activities, providing digital government services, etc., and positioning the Eastern Economic Corridor as the "ASEAN Digital Hub".
