The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) was established by the Cabinet of the Federal Government of Malaya in 1962. After its reorganization in 1974, it was incorporated into the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers and is a non-profit organization. It now has five member chambers of commerce and over 700,000 members. Its aim is to protect the interests of business enterprises and individuals in Malaysia by organizing discussions on topics, collecting and sharing information, representing members to speak to the government and other organizations, coordinating relevant departments, promoting and conducting trade and related activities.
