The Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) was established in 2002 under the joint witness of Tun Mahathir, then Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Hu Jintao, then Vice President of China. It was jointly set up by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and its counterpart institutions in Malaysia. The council aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Malaysia and China, enhance exchanges and cooperation among relevant institutions, enterprises, and individuals of the two countries, and benefit the business investment and consulting communities of both nations.
